Congratulations! Why BFPE is proud of Prime Minister David Thompson

We at BFPE extend our congratulations to the new Prime Minister of Barbados, David Thompson.

While most of us here are BLP supporters who did not vote for your DLP party in the last election, we are above all else LOYAL BAJAN CITIZENS who are VERY PROUD of the fact that Barbados today has a prime minister who is 46 years old and we are eager to promote that fact as we promote Barbados to the world. Yours is a very heavy responsibility indeed. You have been given a chance by the people of this country, and you have made some very serious promises and commitments which the entire country will be following very closely in the days, months and years ahead. The future of this country in now firmly in your hands. We can relate to you because you are not much older than most of us here, so when you succeed we will support you because we always support the involvement of the youth of Barbados in the management of this country.

May your term in office be a successful one.

Best wishes to you, sir.

MORE LIES: Barbados Free Press DECEIVING Readers Again

The FRAUD at BFP is once again trying DECEIVE the gullible.

That blog has today published an article entitled “BFP Election Article Currently #8 Most Popular WordPress Article Worldwide”.

A quick check of the Quantcast web traffic statistics for BFP shows that traffic on BFP over the past few days has not even gone past the peak it reached in the aftermath of the apartment collapse at Brittons Hill.

These records show that BFP blog currently has 33,583 unique visitors a month.

http://www.quantcast.com/barbadosfreepress.wordpress.com/traffic

And these records show that total WordPress blogs combined currently have 71,319,798 unique visitors a month.

http://www.quantcast.com/wordpress.com/traffic

BFP therefore only has a 0.047% share of total WordPress traffic.

BFP will NEVER display the count of their blog visitors because it would expose their own LIES about their readership statistics.

Please do not be deceived by the FRAUD at BFP.

Beware of POST-ELECTION Photo Fraud

Beware of POST-ELECTION Photo Fraud by those who are intent on sowing confusion in Barbados now that the latest poll suggests a Barbados Labour Party victory in tomorrow’s election.

http://bajan.wordpress.com/2008/01/14/it-is-election-eve-in-barbados/

“Please take pictures of any activity which you believe is abnormal at this time and you are welcome to email them to us.”

We must be wary of those who are only after “POWA” at any cost and who are preparing to set the stage for posting FAKE PHOTOS so that they can sow havoc and unrest in the country after the election results are released.

If you see anything strange, report it to the POLICE, not to any faceless blog run by desperate political party supporters.

NEW NUMBERS

by CAROL MARTINDALE, SUNDAY SUN Editor

THE RULING Barbados Labour Party (BLP) could yet win a fourth term in Tuesday’s general election.

But according to new polling information available, the win might be marginal.

Predictions are that the BLP could net between 16 to 20 seats, with an estimated 50.4 per cent to 53.4 per cent of the popular vote.

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) on the other hand, is likely to get between ten and 14 seats, which would represent between 49.6 per cent and 46.6 per cent of the popular vote, it said.

This was stated in a public opinion poll released yesterday by the Cave Hill Associates Polling Organisation, known as the CHAPO/Boxill Poll.

An earlier opinion poll prepared by CADRES (Caribbean Development Research Services) and published on Friday, suggested a statistical dead heat, but its director Peter Wickham, said trends suggested a DLP victory. That poll predicted the DLP would get 35.4 per cent and the BLP 30.1 per cent of the popular vote.

The CHAPO/Boxill Poll’s case for another BLP term was based on 41.5 per cent support for its candidates over 36.2 per cent for the DLP team.

The pollsters also pointed out that their predictions were based on data already collected, and the possibility of events intervening between then and Election Day could yet affect the final result.

This poll had a sample of 1 294 enumerated voters, and was conducted between January 4 and 7, in 125 districts across all parishes. The poll has a plus/minus three per cent margin of error.

Bees are Capable

Barbadians also believed that the BLP was the party best capable of leading the country. It was ahead by 13 .2 per cent, a decline, however, of 2.3 per cent for the BLP since a December poll also conducted by CHAPO/Boxill.

And on the issue of leadership, voters said this, too, would be critical to how they would vote. Prime Minister Owen Arthur was once again identified as the person best suited to lead with 48.1 per cent of the voters supporting him, while Thompson got 33.1 per cent.

It is expected that in this election, more women will vote for the BLP, while men are evenly split between the two parties, reports the opinion poll.

The CHAPO/Boxill team is made up of Professor Ian Boxill, polling director; Dr George Belle, analyst; and Dion Greenidge, data manager.

Adrian Loveridge’s BFP and the CRIMINAL RECORD of Desmond Seales

Adrian Loveridge’s Barbados Free Press has recently started to post fake articles on, and direct readers to, a website called Caribbean Net News. One example of these is a fictitious letter published on Wednesday 8 January 2008 and purporting to have been written by one Carson Cadogan of Eagle Hall in Barbados. This letter comes immediately after a MASSIVE CROWD of THOUSANDS of RED-CLAD Bajans assembled at Eagle Hall on Tuesday night and STOOD FIRM in POURING RAIN for HOURS as they patiently waited for the launch of the Barbados Labour Party Manifesto. BLP leader and Barbados Prime Minister Owen Arthur is seeking an unprecedented 4th consecutive term in office in next Tuesday’s elections. This powerful show of politic loyalty from BLP supporters has sent shock waves through the opposition DLP, but it has deeply upset and outraged Adrian Loveridge who has for the past two years been working relentlessly behind the scenes to discredit the Barbados government through his one-man campaign of lies, deception and false accusations. Loveridge has been deeply offended by the refusal of the Barbados government to grant him special privileges to which he believes he is entitled because he is a white British immigrant. (Most Barbadians are black.)

BFPE investigations reveal that Caribbean Net News is operated from Cayman Islands by a man called Desmond Seales who has a CRIMINAL RECORD.

It is no big surprise to us at BFPE that a FRAUD like Adrian Loveridge is now in bed with a criminal like Desmond Seales. Loveridge will associate with all manner of cyber-frauds and scoundrels because that is what comes naturally to him.

Please read more below.

Desmond Blows Nor’Wester Debut

Two weeks after Cayblogger made his nationwide radio interview debut on Radio Cayman with the inimitable Jay Ehrhart, Rufus T. McGilicutty is still waiting for some indication as to when his media blitz will begin in a local publication – as mentioned during his interview. To celebrate his 30,000th hit on his blog site, Cayblogger’s McGilicutty - now officially the best kept secret in Cayman with the hottest blog site in Cayman - took out a full page colour ad in the alleged soon-to-be re-released Nor’Wester magazine; but to date no issue of Nor’Wester has been published.Sources tell Cayblogger that Not News publisher Desmond Seales’ attempt to revive the defunct publication was supposed to take place by April – but that hasn’t happened; and according to people close to the source, it isn’t likely to happen any time soon.

No big deal you say? All except for the people who have committed to adverts in the publication who are now basically screwed, yet again, at the hands of Desmond Seales – if and until the Nor’Wester actually runs.

One Not News staffer tells Cayblogger that, allegedly, the person in charge of running the publication arrived on island from the UK, only to turn around and leave after finding out that Desmond’s offer was “too good to be true” – which, for those of you who know Desmond, the words “good” and “true” can hardly be used to describe him.

Those of you who choose to debate this please show up with spotless police clearance letters - somthing DS can’t do; apparently…

At the end of the day, Desmond’s attempt to become “bigger, bolder and better” is failing miserably. Note to Desmond: just because you use more colour and a larger font size doesn’t mean you’ve gotten better. If anything, your poor quality is now just a lot easier to see, and your lack of results vis a vis the Nor’Wester are not the least bit surprising.

Regardless, I guess we’ll all just have to wait a bit longer for Desmond to hire a Nor’Wester publisher; if he can find one dumb enough to come work for him.

I hear Dr. Luarca might be available to run the Nor’Wester. Think of it: the perfect marriage of government cast-offs uniting in a common goal of action without progress. Sounds like a match made in hell.

Good luck Dessie – I’m sure missing deadlines does nothing more than inspire even greater levels of confidence in the advertisers who pay you to perform a service.

BFPE challenges VOB

We at BFPE challenge Voice of Barbados to provide a public platform and extend an invitation to the leaders of the BLP, the DLP, the PEP and the PDC to have a publicly broadcast debate as soon as possible before next week’s general election in Barbados.

In the same way that you produce Brass Tacks every day, and in the same way you replace scheduled programs with hurricane watches in times of stormy weather, you also have a social responsibility to the people of Barbados at this critical time in our nation’s history.
