Don’t believe the lies

The one single most important thing to know about BFP is that he is a serial liar. Don’t believe ANYTHING he posts on his blog. Practically every statement put out on his blog is a lie. Not only does he lie about Barbados but he also lies about himself. Don’t be misled and don’t be deceived. There are no “government operatives” trying to silence him. He doesn’t have any “IP addresses coming from government offices”. BFP is NOT a source of news… he simply gets the real news from the same Barbados media which he spends so much time attacking, and posts it on his blog with a modified caption and his own comments…. and often a fake or modified photo.

BFP is only one person

The BFP blog likes to mislead readers with talk about “The staff of Barbados Free Press - Shona, George, Robert, Cliverton, Auntie Moses and Marcus”. Our monitoring of that blog indicate that BFP in reality is only one person. We have noticed that there is a distinct daily pattern to the times when he/she is present and the times when he/she is away from the blog. BFP, which normally deletes any anti-BFP or pro-Barbados comments on their blog within minutes, used to claim that the blog is monitored by the “staff” for up to 20 hours a day, but we have discovered that there is usually no-one administering it during the hours from midnight to about 8:00 am in the morning. When we first started posting anti-BFP and pro-Barbados comments on the blog during those hours, for the first couple of days they were only deleted between 8:00 am and 9:00 am in the morning. Soon that changed and we noticed that they were being removed at irregular intervals during the night. Obviously we were breaking up someone’s night rest, so we hammered away at that, and after just two nights of increased rigorous comments from us, sleep deprivation set in and on the morning of Sunday 16th September 2007 BFP announced that all comments would be held in moderation for up to one day. Based on some of the response times we have seen there, we also suspect that BFP signs in as a visitor on his own blog to make comments supporting his own posts.

Every deleted comment is a problem for BFP

So you made a comment challenging some lie posted by BFP and he deleted it. Or you made a positive comment about life in Barbados and he deleted it. It might seem that you are powerless to do anything about it, but the simple fact is this, every time that BFP has to delete (or moderate) a comment is time taken away from him spreading his nasty lies about our country. So don’t be discouraged about a deleted comment. Make your comments. Make LOTS of them. Just make sure that after submitting each one, you see the statement “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” Don’t use any curse words or say anything nasty which can be easily deleted by the automatic spam filters. What you want to do is release a stream of good clean comments about Barbados, or just plain comments about anything at all. He will have to spend ages and ages and ages sifting through all the comments to determine which ones he wants to let through.

How to bypass BFP filters - IP Addresses and ADSL connections

BFP uses a system of filters to block unwanted comments from his blog. Some of these filters are based on IP addresses and they can be easily bypassed if you have an ADSL internet connection. Simply turn off your ADSL modem for a few seconds and then turn it back on again. When the ADSL connection is restored it will do so with a brand new IP address. Continue to post your comments until BFP blocks you again.

How to bypass BFP filters - Comments
BFP uses a system of filters to block unwanted comments from his blog. Some of these filters are based on the comments which you make and they can be bypassed if you change the spelling of certain key words. The filters also check for the name, email and website fields, so you are advised to leave them blank or keep changing them. One example of this is (not surprisingly) the letters BFPE. If you type anything on the BFP blog and use the letters BFPE it will be automatically caught by his filters. But we still get past it by typing it in a number of different ways, such as…

We also advise that by replacing the letter O (0) with the number 0 (zero) several blocked words such as troll and trojan can be submitted as tr0ll and tr0jan. The letter I (i) can be replaced with the number 1. You can also disguise words by inserting extra letters or removing a letter here and there.

BFPE also hates our slogan very much indeed. So instead of Four Love In Wunna Backside!!!! we have developed the following spelling variations, among others:

Spelling variations can also be used if you want to add curse words to your comments.

Sometimes you may have a lengthy comment to make and BFP is blocking it from being posted. Because of the length it could take a long time to find out which words are being blocked. Here is how you can quickly get past the comment filters. As soon as the comment is rejected, click on the back button of your browser. This should display the message as you typed it. Copy and paste the full message into Notepad or Word so that you can still access the full text. Then try to post just the first paragraph or the first few lines. If it goes through then proceed to post the next paragraph. If it gets blocked, check the words and try changing the ones which look likely to have been blocked. Repeat this until the entire text has bypassed the filters. As each section is approved, make sure to replace the original paragraph with the approved text so that you will end up with a full approved version in Notepad or Word.

BFP Flyers

One of BFP’s latest scams is his attempt to con his readers into giving BFP free advertisements at the expense of the same readers. He has introduced the Print Edition of Barbados Free Press, which is simply jpg files that can be downloaded from his blog (beware of trojans, spyware and viruses). He encourages readers to download the files and then use their own paper, ink and time to print them out as flyers and go up and down Barbados distributing them, and he cautions his readers to be careful not to “get caught” while doing so. It is quite clear that this cheap bastard will never get caught himself, since he won’t be risking it himself. None of us here at BFPE has seen any of these flyers anywhere in Barbados, nor have we heard anyone talking about them, but we will certainly be on the lookout for them… and for anyone distributing them too. What we know is that he made a very serious blunder by introducing the flyer idea, because ANYBODY can now create a flyer about anything at all, put the Barbados Free Press logo, website and email address on top of it, and distribute it anywhere inside or outside of Barbados. It could be anything… BFP photos promoting child pornography… BFP accusations of child molestation against any targeted individual… BFP cartoon attacks against the Muslim religion. (What happens when someone sends some copies to mosques in Algeria, Syria and Iran?) BFP has cheaply, willingly and dangerously relinquished control of his production process. By going the lazy route of neglecting the responsibility and avoiding the cost of producing and distributing his own material, BFP has exposed himself to the opportunity for all manner of public ridicule and risk, and we have no sympathy whatsoever for him.

Feed him FALSE INFORMATION

One of the easiest ways to disrupt, discredit and subvert operations at Barbados Free Press is to send him FALSE and MISLEADING INFORMATION. Post it on his blog. Use www.anonymouse.org to send anonymous email, or open a new email account with Gmail (quickest), Yahoo, or Hotmail, then invent a juicy story and email it to barbadosfreepress@yahoo.com. Use a different email account each time. At worst the fool will spend valuable time chasing shadows. At best he will post it on his blog as the latest “big scandal”… once it has been posted on his blog, wait a bit to let the idiot celebrate before bursting his bubble.
